Kaufman receives recordings of readings from anywhere
in the world. Sometimes professional readers are used, often authors read
their own work. Occasionally readers record in his studio. Kaufman
is an accomplished reader for all-in-one service.
Kaufman then creates music and designs sound to accompany the voice(s) - accomplished cinematographic music which reflects the imagery and feeling of the text. This collaboration produces an exciting and beautiful result. The tracks are then sold on-line as separate entities (individual poems, short stories or chapters), compiled into full CDs and/or delivered into the sole possession of the author for their exclusive use.
The musical styling can be anything from orchestral writing, to quiet chamber settings, east/west orchestra, rock-style orchestrations or imaginative electronic soundscapes.
Rates are variable based on timings of readings and overall scope of project.
